today was hard.
someone i love got married.
i wasn't invited for good reason....
...i probably would have objected.
i cried a lot.
miyagi tried to cheer me up.

stacey did a good job taking my mind off of things. we went food shopping and sat at lake merritt with some delicious raw food (nothing like some cafe gratitude to kick off my week of raw!!!). oh yeah, guess i didn't mention my new plan....i'm going raw for a week or two or three...and then i'm going to try to adapt to the "kind diet". i started reading alicia silverstone's book and it is amazing. i need to cut out sugar (and caffeine) and eat healthier. i know i've said this before, but this time i mean it. i don't want to take antibiotics for two months for my skin...i think by eliminating refined sugars, i can kick the acne. so tomorrow i go raw for as long as i can take it. i even bought a dehydrator! :o) i'm excited.

cute. Alicia Silverstone (known for such awesome movies Clueless and Excess Baggage) wrote a book called The Kind Diet. it talks about her journey to eating vegan and macrobiotic and gives you reasons (health, environmental and animal rights) why she thought it the best thing and she wants you to do whatever you feel comfortable with. "flirt" with the diet, if you want.

the lady getting her book signed had asked Alicia how her "meat and potatoes" family could start.

Originally built for use in silent films, the Witch's House was featured most recently in the 1995 movie "Clueless." In the movie, Alicia Silverstone's character, Cher, walks by the house while she's obsessing about failing her driver's test.

345 California Center is third tallest skyscraper located in the Financial District of downtown San Francisco, California and it looked quite illuminated on this July day. The 48-story, 695 foot building is known locally in San Francisco as the Tweezer Towers because of its tweezer shaped top. It was completed in 1986 and is definitely one of San Francisco's architectural wonders that stands out amidst the Transamerica Pyramid. The smaller sized square shaped windows give the building a very classy look and feel and the twin U.S. flags at the top definitely give the building an "American Pride" feel. It is definitely a great feeling personally for me (with this upload) of getting back to my skyscraper roots. This image was captured in July 2009 with my Nikon D90. Enjoy!

by the way, Alicia's sweater looked better in person. however, her shoes, not photographer, weren't my favorite. (i tried for 20+ minutes to find something online similar, but couldn't...)
